Mounir El-Mourabi, owner of Cedars Restaurant, a Lebanese gem in Cordova established in 2016, is expanding his brand with two new ventures. The first, La Roche, located at 916 Cooper St in Cooper-Young, is swiftly taking shape with construction already underway. Meanwhile, plans for the second establishment, a bakery in Germantown, are in motion, though a lease has not yet been secured.

La Roche promises an array of Turkish and Armenian cuisine, with a diverse selection of kebabs highlighting various types of meat. “It’s going to be kebabs — chicken, beef. We’ll have the Turkish Adana kebab. It’s so so good,” El-Mourabi enthusiastically shared with Memphis Business Journal.

Scheduled to open its doors in early May 2024, La Roche is poised to captivate diners with its distinctive flavors and flair. Following the completion of La Roche, El-Mourabi plans to begin work on the bakery in late summer, ensuring that each venture receives the meticulous attention it deserves.

As Cedars Restaurant continues to flourish, El-Mourabi’s expansion endeavors are poised to further enrich the local culinary landscape, reflecting his dedication to providing delicious dining experiences throughout the greater Mid-South area.
