Poplar Starbucks Closed for Renovations, Reopening Date TBD

Permits filed with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development reveal that the Starbucks situated at 3388 Poplar Ave has temporarily shuttered its doors while it undergoes an extensive remodel.

The 1,915-square-foot coffee shop is slated for a $350,000 renovation, encompassing upgrades such as a digital drive-thru menu board and canopy. A specific reopening date for the revamped establishment has not yet been determined.

Boasting a global presence, the Seattle-based coffee giant operates thousands of stores worldwide, including dozens scattered throughout the greater Memphis area. Alongside its extensive array of coffee offerings, Starbucks is celebrated for its teas, smoothies, and refreshers, as well as a diverse selection of breakfast, snack, and dessert options. Customer favorites include the Caramel Macchiato, Iced Lemon Loaf, Ham & Swiss Croissant, and Birthday Cake Pop.
