According to recent permits filed with Develop901, the former Zaxby’s at 3821 Hacks Cross Rd in Memphis is set to be converted into a Bojangles restaurant.

The 3,378-square-foot space will undergo renovations estimated at $1.1 million. Zaxby’s previously occupied this 1.31-acre lot but relocated just across the street to 3852 Hacks Cross Rd in 2022.

The upcoming eatery will be one of just a few Bojangles restaurants in Greater Memphis, with another new location currently under construction in Cordova. The fast-casual chicken chain offers a range of chicken-centric mains, southern-style sides, and desserts.

In terms of the property transaction, Colliers’ Andrew Phillips and Ed Thomas represented the landlord, Lee Organization LLC, while Jennifer Stewart with Gill Properties acted on behalf of the tenant, Bojangles.
