Pickleball has really picked up steam as a popular activity in Colorado lately — so the owners of 3rd Shot Pickleball took note. They are currently constructing what will be the largest facility of its type in the state, at 3545 Wadsworth Blvd. in Wheat Ridge, according to local news.
The arena will have thirteen courts to play on, a bar, a lounge, and food options for snacking like pretzels, nachos, and pizza. There will also be a selection of drinks like juice, smoothies, and sodas, as well as cocktails.
At the space, the company plans to hold lessons and classes for players. There will also be other activities like trivia, cornhole, and shuffleboard.
Adam Khan, co-founder, told Westword that the facility will be open sometime in the fall — ideally October 1. It’s being built in the shell where Lucky’s Market used to be, which closed in 2020.
