Whataburger continues to expand in the state after recently arriving in Colorado, with plans for a new store in Monument in the works. The brand will have a restaurant open in late 2023 at 17889 Fat Tire Drive, a recent Gazette article says.

The company, which is a Texas-based chain, just opened its fifth Colorado location this week. Whataburger has been focusing its initial growth on the Colorado Springs area, and is rapidly creating a footprint here.

These recent locations are operated by BurgerWorks Colorado, a franchisee of Whataburger. The chain’s arrival in the state has made big waves with burger and fast food fanatics.

City records show that the health department reviewed plans for the restaurant on June 6. The location where the eatery will be is a new development area in a high-traffic spot off of I-25 and CO-105.
