Local Mexican concept Los Chingones is revamping its RiNo location, with a temporary closure for renovations expected to begin on Sept. 23 and continue through Oct. 8, according to a recent post on the brand’s Instagram page.

The brand has four locations throughout the Denver area, including spots in downtown RiNo, Los Lounge, Central Park and DTC’s Belleview Station.

The RiNo location, located at 2463 Larimer St., currently features a rooftop that seats 90 and an open main floor dining room.

Details regarding the revamp are sparse, with the Instagram announcement promising a “bada$$ remodel” at the RiNo location, with an upcoming reopening fiesta to introduce the new space once the renovations are complete.

The news comes following some major shifts for Los Chingones in recent weeks. On Aug. 25, the brand permanently closed the doors of its Fort Collins location, though it indicated that it would return to the area in the future.

Los Chingones’s menu features classic Mexican cuisine like enchiladas, quesadillas and burritos as well as unique fusion concepts like Mexican ramen. It also offers a wide selection of tacos, starters like nachos and taquitos and desserts like churros with Mexican chocolate.

The brand falls under the umbrella of local hospitality group TAG Restaurant Group, founded by chef Troy Guard in 2009. Other local concepts in TAG’s portfolio include Guard and Grace, HashTAG, Bubu, Tag Burger Bar and Done Deal.

What Now Denver has reached out to Guard for more information on the plans for the RiNo location revamp. Stay tuned for updates on this renovation.
