The latest tenant to join the newly constructed 12 South Collection building will be a Tex-Mex concept called Mesero according to permits. The restaurant’s address will be 2803 12th Ave S #202 in the ever-popular 12 South neighborhood of Music City, joining the recently announced The Henry by Fox Restaurant Concepts.

Mesero will likely open within six months or longer due to the early stage of permitting and construction. A building permit with Metro was filed on January 22 for the first-generation, full-service restaurant space with City Construction cited as the general contractor. Mesero has eight other locations with two more in the works in Allen, Texas, and Oklahoma City.

Helmed by CEO and co-owner of Mesero Restaurant Group, Trey Dyer, Mesero prides itself on its upscale environment and creative spin on Mexican classics, like queso, guacamole, brisket tacos, shrimp ceviche, and a robust cocktail list with margaritas highlighted. The brand primarily has its locations in Texas, solidifying its authentic Tex-Mex fusion brand. Nashville will become the second location outside of Texas state lines.

Mersero’s brand identity is defined by its saying: “Mexican spirit, American life,” displayed in exterior signage at many of its locations. Customers can stay up to date with Mesero on its website and Instagram. A Mesero representative was not immediately available for comment.
