Apóla Greek Grill, best known for serving the ‘Most Authentic Greek Gyro you can get without buying a plane ticket,’ has big expansion plans for Southern California.

The company, founded by brothers Yianni and Stefano Kosmides, currently has locations in Irvine and Yorba Linda. Now, the family-owned restaurant is looking to add either a brick-and-mortar restaurant and potentially up to two ghost kitchen locations in Los Angeles County before the end of 2022, according to a press release. On top of that, the company recently announced its first franchise location will open in Riverside later this fall. The possible additions would more than double Apóla’s presence.

That’s just the beginning for the fast-growing Greek restaurant. The Apóla team is hoping to open three or four restaurants in 2023 and five or more in 2024, with the focus staying on Southern California. Despite wanting to stay in Southern California, the company is hoping to potentially reach more parts of the state, as well as possibly expand into Nevada and Arizona. When these locations open, customers can expect customizable gyros and halal-certified meats as well as new offerings like Greek street fries and a meatless gyro.

“The biggest win for us was not just surviving Covid-19, but coming back stronger than before,” Stefano Kosmides said. “Substantial growth continues in 2022 while we’re also constantly fine-tuning our overall operations to lower expenses, improving procedures for our team members, and making sure we keep treating our guests like family. This has helped us not only maintain a loyal following but also grow our customer base.”
