Canada-based Little Kitchen Academy is bringing its Montessori-inspired cooking academy to The Oaks in Thousand Oaks later this summer. The forthcoming location will serve as a flagship location for the brand.
“At Little Kitchen Academy, we believe learning to cook is a foundational life skill that builds independence, confidence and healthy habits that last a lifetime,” Brian Curin, co-founder and CEO of Little Kitchen Academy, said in a previous release. “The Oaks is a natural fit for our next flagship location — a destination deeply rooted in community, family connection and meaningful experiences. We’re excited to open in Thousand Oaks this summer and to serve Conejo Valley families in a truly impactful way.”
Little Kitchen Academy offers hands-on cooking classes that cater to children ages 3 to 18. The classes are designed to help children problem-solve, improve their confidence and develop good habits.
The location will feature weekly cooking classes, camps, private classes and special programming. The space will be designed with learning in mind.
Little Kitchen Academy is planning additional growth across North America and has existing locations at Westfield Century City and in Denver, Colorado, in addition to Canadian locations.
The Oaks will also welcome Thousand Oaks-based small business Newberry Candy later this summer. This fall, POP MART and Pitter Patter Play will join the center, as well.
