Bonchon, the rapidly expanding Korean fried chicken chain, is poised to launch its latest restaurant at 65 Newport Ave Suite 7 in Quincy on February 7, 2024. The driving force behind this venture is franchisee Jack Tran. In addition to this exciting launch, Bonchon has plans to reintroduce its takeout-only Cambridge location at 56 John F. Kennedy St in the first quarter of 2024. The Cambridge location will be under the ownership of Mimi Tran, who, notably, is not related to Jack. These additions mark the fifth and sixth Massachusetts locations for the chain.
The upcoming Quincy establishment will operate as a fast-casual restaurant, allowing customers to place their orders at the counter. This location will feature a more streamlined menu due to the absence of a full-service kitchen. However, patrons can still anticipate a diverse selection, including a range of Korean fried chicken options, beloved traditional Korean dishes, fried rice offerings, sides, and Korean doughnuts for dessert.
Established in South Korea in 2002 under the meticulous guidance of Jinduk Seo, Bonchon has become renowned for its perfected signature sauces and flavors. Seo’s vision to share the distinctive tastes of his hometown with the world came to fruition when the brand made its debut in the United States in 2006, starting its journey in New York. Reflecting on the moment of success, Seo fondly recalls, “When police were dispatched to manage traffic around the new restaurant, I knew we had a winning formula.”
Prepare to savor the globally acclaimed flavors at Bonchon in 2024, as the brand continues to captivate taste buds with its exceptional culinary offerings at its two upcoming Massachusetts locations.
