A South Michigan fast-casual franchise in growth phase is adding another chink to its armor in Oakland County.
A new Savvy Sliders is coming soon to one of Rochester’s busy retail corridors at 606 S. Rochester Road, according to the company’s website.
Savvy Sliders is a burgeoning gourmet mini-burger chain known for their hand-breaded chicken fingers, fresh-to-order Angus beef sliders, seasoned French fries and fresh, frozen custard shakes. The company touts itself as the nation’s fastest growing slider franchise, evidenced by the two new restaurants representatives say they’re opening each month.
The Savvy Sliders empire currently includes 34 stores in Michigan and Ohio with more on the way in Florida, according to its website. The franchise recently announced plans to expand into the heart of Texas by breaking ground in San Antonio later this month. Representatives say they expect to add more locations in Dallas, Houston and San Antonio by the end of the summer.
“Savvy Sliders is reimagining the slider experience for consumers across America,” VP of Business Development Mark Wolok said in a news release. “We believe our products and services are providing the quick service category with ‘More 2 Love.’”
In South Michigan, Savvy celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting for a new Farmington Hills store along 12 Mile Road on Thursday. They’re also working to open a fourth Detroit location along Cadieux Road in the East English Village neighborhood.
The Savvy Sliders in Rochester will be sited in the thick of a busy retail hub sandwiched between University Drive and Olde Towne Road just south of Rotary Gateway Park.
There was no timetable for the opening or any details available about the future restaurant. Company officials did not immediately respond to emails and phone calls from What Now Detroit by Friday.
