Middle Eats, a Mediterranean-inspired fast-casual restaurant chain, is building the brand’s first Lansing location at 3201 East Grand River Ave, Suite A. The story was first seen in Lansing State Journal.

The approximately 2,200-square-foot retail space was previously occupied by Lefty’s Cheesesteaks, which has marked its Lansing location as temporarily closed on Google. It is unclear if Lefty’s is relocating its Lansing store to a new spot, but the arrival of Middle Eats has been confirmed as a sign has gone up in front of the vacant space.

Lansing will become Middle Eat’s fourth location, with the other three in Warren, Bloomfield Hills, and Detroit, respectively. According to the LSJ coverage, the Lansing Middle Eats is slated to open sometime in May.

Owned and operated by food industry veterans Jack Mashini, Brian Shunia, and Mario Sattam, Middle Eats serves Mediterranean-inspired wraps, bowls, and salads using ingredients marinated and prepped fresh daily. Mashini and Shunia are also co-founders of the popular wing franchise Wing Snob. However, Middle Eats doesn’t offer franchising opportunities currently.
