Old Salt Fish & Bagels is gearing up for a new location at 6309 24th Ave NW in Ballard, according to recent construction permit filings.

The current establishment, which opened in the winter of 2020, is the brainchild of Joe Sundberg, Rachel Johnson, Patrick Thalasinos, and Chef Liz Kenyon, the creators behind award-winning Manolin and Rupee Bar.

A representative of Old Salt did not immediately return What Now Seattle‘s request for comment.

While the opening date of this location has yet to be finalized, the focus of Old Salt Fish & Bagels is on using locally sourced ingredients and providing top-notch quality. The fish is smoked in-house with meticulous attention to detail, bringing out the best flavors of the local catch. Northwest Bounty, a local fish purveyor, supplies the restaurant with the finest fish for their menu, showcasing its commitment to supporting the community.

In addition to the delicious fish, Old Salt Fish & Bagels takes pride in their freshly made bagels. Using Shepard’s grain flour, the bakers at Old Salt ensure that each bagel is crafted with precision, resulting in a mouthwatering product for their customers, according to their website.
