Fast-casual diners are increasingly looking for healthier options that maintain the speed and quality they’ve come to expect. Fortunately for Monmouth County, an expanding national chain is ready to answer the call. Just Salad-which is a bit of a misnomer-is opening a new storefront in Ocean Township, reports local media outlet Asbury Park Press.

The restaurant will be bringing its greens and bowls to the Ocean Plaza shopping center. Just Salad’s recently signed lease provides the concept with a 2,400 square foot storefront that was previously part of the shuttered Pier 1 Imports located at 1100 NJ-35.

An opening timeline is not currently available for Just Salad’s latest Garden State location. Jersey residents eager to sample the eatery’s fare can stop by one of its other regional storefronts in Shrewsbury or Wall.

Just Salad is excited about introducing its cuisine to a whole new set of local diners. A representative tells What Now Philadelphia: “Just Salad is thrilled to be opening a location in Ocean later this year, growing our presence in New Jersey and continuing to provide our healthy and delicious offerings to more guests. Communities throughout New Jersey have embraced Just Salad for our accessible, plant-centric meals made with homemade dressings, prepped-daily produce, from-scratch recipes and fresh, flavorful ingredients. As we continue to expand across the country, we’re very excited to become a part of the dynamic Ocean community soon.”

Started in New York in 2006, Just Salad entered the fast-casual dining market with a relatively simple and straightforward objective-offer healthier options, sustainably, with a small carbon footprint. The restaurant serves an array of salads, bowls, wraps, and smoothies, all while maintaining its B Corporation certification.
