The signpost in front of the building that formerly housed Cape Dutch now has a new sign: Tribeca Restaurant and Bar.
When Cape Dutch closed on January 25, owner Justin Anthony told Eater Atlanta, “the lease for the building in which Cape Dutch currently resides has been purchased.”
Anthony confirmed in an email to What Now Atlanta (WNA) over the weekend that his restaurant group True Story Brands is not affiliated with the project.
Details surrounding Tribeca are scarce.
No permits for the restaurant’s address—1782 Cheshire Bridge Rd NE—including for the new marquee sign have been filed with the City of Atlanta. WNA has submitted an open records request with the City which is currently being processed.
This story is developing.

Sad that their staff has lost their jobs with this closing. It’s disappointing that Cape Dutch failed to stay open long enough to have an impact. I wish the menu had been more authentic.
I loved Cape Dutch so much. I was only able to go once but the service and food left a lasting impression. COVID SUCKS!!
