The family behind Kouzina, a popular Greek restaurant in Peabody, is opening a new concept just around the corner.

Penny Christopher and her sister, Athena, are teaming up to launch Full Circle Diner in the former site of Grecian Diner at 136 Newbury St in Peabody. Set to open in the summer of 2025, the new spot will offer classic Greek-inspired breakfast and lunch dishes such as gyros, spanakopita, and pork souvlaki.

Penny and her husband, Jimmy, immigrated from Boston to Greece and have built a legacy of restaurants across the North Shore. After Jimmy’s retirement in 2012, Penny continued the family tradition with her son, Paul, operating the well-loved Brothers Kouzina on Route 1 until its closure in 2019.

Since then, the family has shifted its focus to Gyro City and Kouzina, where they serve traditional Greek fare using Jimmy’s original recipes. But the team has missed serving up the high-quality diner classics that made Brothers Kouzina a local favorite.

“We know you’ve been missing breakfast and classic diner lunches since we closed Brothers—but we’re bringing things Full Circle!” they shared in a recent social media update. “This new spot is our way of bringing back the fresh, high-quality diner experience you’ve loved, with a modern twist… We can’t wait to welcome you back for breakfast, lunch, and everything in between!”
