Miami-based Pura Vida Miami has another location on the way to New York City. It has “coming soon” signage up at 300 E 83rd Street on the Upper East Side.

The health-centered cafe brand offers menu items like coffee and tea; superfood smoothies such as Green Goddess (kiwi, lemon, cucumber, green apple, mint, raw local honey and matcha) and Playa Papaya (papaya, pineapple and coconut water); acai bowls; all-day breakfast items like avocado smash toast and overnight oats; bowls such as spicy tuna and mango salmon; sandwiches and wraps; and snacks like baked empanadas and tuna tartare.

Currently, the New York locations include spots along Bleecker Street, in Nomad and in Williamsburg. There are also locations in South and West Florida.

Husband-and-wife team Omer and Jen Horev founded the brand in 2012 in South Florida. They focus on crafting meals filled with fruits, vegetables and proteins.

“Pura Vida Miami has become a beacon of health-conscious living, offering a diverse menu of nutritious and delectable dishes,” the Pura Vida website states. “Omer and Jen Horev, the husband-wife duo behind Pura Vida Miami, have meticulously curated a menu that harmonizes nutritious and indulgent offerings. Their guiding principle is simple: they only serve food they would proudly feed their children, using only the highest-quality clean ingredients.”

The brand is also committed to sustainable practices by working with composting partners and donating fertile soil to local farmers, according to the website.

As of now, an exact opening timeline for the Upper East Side Location remains unclear.
