STRONG Pilates is making its debut in New York City. The fitness studio brings a new hybrid fitness concept to fitness enthusiasts in the area. It will also expand the brand’s presence nationwide.
STRONG Pilates to Open Its First NYC Studio in Tribeca
STRONG Pilates is opening in New York City’s Tribeca at 345 Broadway on November 7. The brand combines Pilates, cardio and strength training in 45-minute, instructor-led sessions. The opening will mark the brand’s first location in the New York market.
The studio uses its own equipment, which includes the Rowformer and the Bikeformer. The Rowformer is a combination of a Pilates reformer with a rowing machine, while the Bikeformer combines a reformer with a stationary bike.
Members at the new studio will be able to explore different classes and membership options offered by the brand. It includes STRONG Body, STRONG Pilates, and STRONG Loaded. Studio amenities will include lockers and restrooms, with classes available to book online.
The New York opening is part of STRONG Pilates’ wider US expansion. The company has plans to open studios across nine states in 2026. This will include locations in Boston, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Maryland, New York, and Philadelphia.
About STRONG Pilates
STRONG Pilates is an Australian fitness brand that was founded by Michael Ramsey and Mark Armstrong. It is a workout concept that combines classical Pilates with cardio and strength training. It offers a more intense, full-body workout, while still keeping the exercises low impact.
Ramsey developed the concept after breaking his ankle in 2019 and discovering reformer Pilates during his recovery. He wanted to combine Pilates with more intensive cardio and strength exercises, which led to the development of STRONG Pilates.
The new STRONG Pilates location will continue to expand the brand’s presence in the United States.
