According to recent reporting in The Business Journal, a new concept is coming to 1744 Main St.

Juice Wine Bar will be run by local duo Billie Blevins and Dr. Jason Zoglman, who are transforming the former Springfield brewery into a “laid-back, community-driven space,” per the report.

“With curated wines, cozy seating and plans for everything from book clubs to bridal showers, the pair hopes Juice becomes more than a bar — a neighborhood hub for sipping, socializing and celebrating,” the report states.

“It’s a wine bar, but we don’t want to make it pretentious,” Blevins told the Business Journal. “We really want to cater to the Springfield neighborhood to create a comfy space and a fun atmosphere.”

Citing the team, the report states that there will be about eight wines on tap along with a few tap beers, several wines by glass and bottles from the Old and New World. In way of food, there will be “pre-made food available as well as charcuterie up front where diners can choose their own meats, cheeses and sauces or order prix fixe plates.”

“We want it to be open for everybody — whether you’re a sommelier, or just somebody who wants to explore wines… just a fun atmosphere to enjoy for everyone,” Blevins said.

What Now reached out to ownership to add comment to the story, but was not able to reach them by time of publication.
