Corner Bar South will be heading to 2190 Nolensville Pike, according to a permit recently filed with Metro. The spot comes from the team behind longstanding Elliston Place staple The Corner Bar, which closed in March. The space was formerly home to South Side Pizza Kitchen & Pub.

Owner Merdan Mohammed confirmed the forthcoming location in a phone call with What Now Nashville, though he was not immediately available to provide further details on the development. Mohammed is bringing The Corner Bar manager Torre Wyatt over to operate this location.

The Corner Bar closed to make way for a new development planned at the former site. Customers who frequented The Corner Bar can expect Corner Bar South to feel familiar, with a similar atmosphere and aesthetic.

Corner Bar South will occupy a space of about 4,500 square feet and is targeting a late July opening, according to reporting by the Nashville Scene.

Other businesses found at 2190 Nolensville Pike include Red Bicycle Coffee & Crepes, Harper James Salon and Hair by Lacy Rash.
