A health inspection conducted on June 25 identified a vermin infestation issue at an LA food establishment. The health department closed the establishment temporarily. The restaurant will be allowed to reopen once all the violations have been verifiably resolved.

Run by award-winning chefs, KAIF serves Mediterranean fusion cuisine and also offers catering services. However, the restaurant received several violations during the June 25 inspection.

Kaif was cited for vermin infestation, which includes rodents or insects, on the premises. This violation led to the deduction of 11 points in the inspection and the closure of the restaurant.

Another major violation was reported, as food contact surfaces were found unclean and not properly sanitized. The restaurant lost 4 points as a result of this violation.

One minor violation was cited for inadequate handwashing facilities. In addition, several violations related to good retail practices were noted. Furthermore, several violations of good retail practices were also pointed out in the report.
