A popular DFW brewery is preparing to show the region that sometimes bigger actually IS better. Manhattan Project Beer, which has been a West Dallas resident for the last five years, is planning to move into a new and larger facility in Mesquite, reports the Dallas Business Journal.

The beer makers have sought approval to move into a 45,000 square foot space at 2050 Jane Street-a sizable upgrade from their current 15,000 square foot home. Manhattan Project Beer won’t be abandoning West Dallas; it intends to continue there in some capacity, however the majority of operations will be moved to the new, multi-use space.

Manhattan Project Beer intends to take full advantage of its new 45,000 square feet. The building will house a brewery, a warehouse, and a taproom.

The Mesquite location is still over several horizons. While the company has received approval from the Mesquite commission for the necessary rezoning, the brewery still needs to get the okay from the City Council, which will vote on the project on July 21. Manhattan Project Beer’s new home is still too far in the future to project an accurate opening timeline, however the developer predicts it will be completed in a year or two.

Manhattan Beer Project will be bringing award-winning beers to the area. Founded in 2010, the brand has earned considerable acclaim for its Belgian Dark ale and its IPA.
