According to public filings, Trading Card World plans to open a new location at 2601 W. Mockingbird Lane, Suite 100, inside the Mockingbird Depot development in Dallas, with a construction completion date of September 2026.
What Now Dallas has reached out to Scott Emer, co-founder of Trading Card World, to inquire about an opening timeline and whether the new location is an expansion or a relocation but did not receive a response prior to publication.
Trading Card World is a Dallas-Fort Worth-based shop specializing in buying, selling, trading, and grading trading cards. The company’s offerings span Pokémon, sports cards, and other collectible card games, including Dragon Ball, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and One Piece.
The shop also offers PSA and BGS grading submissions, allowing collectors to have their cards professionally authenticated and graded without shipping them directly to a third-party service. The brand describes itself as family-friendly, positioning its shops as community gathering spots for collectors as much as retail storefronts.
According to the Fort Worth Report, independent comic and card shops across North Texas are riding a broader collectibles wave, with cards increasingly being treated as investments rather than just a hobby. What Now Dallas has previously covered card businesses like Waxxed Cards‘ upcoming opening in Forney, a store that has grown into a modern hobby destination where collectors can buy, sell, trade, and open packs together.
