It looks like Eurest Dining is seeking a new location following the closure of their West Loop restaurant.
Compass Group USA recently submitted a liquor license application for a new restaurant at 401 N Michigan Avenue downtown. It is not confirmed what the new restaurant will be called, but the application is under the name Eurest Dining. This company is a division of Compass USA, and it provides restaurant services across the country.
“Eurest is the leader in hospitality, food service and culinary excellence, setting the table for our nation’s workforce and industries,” says the description on their website.
Eurest Dining was previously at 100 N Riverside Plaza at the Boeing Corporate Offices in West Loop. The last location served soups, sandwiches, paninis and salads. The new restaurant’s menu has not been released yet.
The company, under the Compass Group USA umbrella, has dining operations across the U.S. Their spaces are called “marketplaces” as these are meant to be set up as places to convene and “conduct business.” They recently provided catering for the South by Southwest film festival event in Austin, Texas.
401 N Michigan Avenue is listed as the Equitable Building in the heart of downtown. Also at the address is the Apple Michigan Avenue store. According to the application, the restaurant will be on the floor L1, and it is to have consumption on the premises.
Neither Compass Group USA nor Eurest Dining have released information on the opening date. What Now Chicago has reached out to Compass USA, and this article may be updated.
