A new fine dining restaurant is headed to Roxbury, though details remain scarce for now.
The Weston Way LLC has filed plans to open an upscale eatery at 300 Warren St. The project comes from local resident, educator, and businessman Clayton Weston, who confirmed the plans with What Now Boston but declined to share specifics at this stage.
While details about the cuisine and overall aesthetic are still under wraps, a Change.org petition titled ‘Support the 02119 Project: Bringing Fine Dining to Our Neighborhood,’ which has gathered 200 signatures, offers some early insight into the vision of the restaurant, likely to be called The Weston Way.
“Join us in supporting Clayton Weston and welcoming a new era of dining and community growth in 02119,” the petition reads. “Clayton’s vision for the 02119 Project is to create a welcoming space that serves as a hub for dining, celebration, and shared experiences. This project will not only enrich our neighborhood with exceptional food and hospitality but also boost local economic development by creating jobs and attracting visitors to our community.”
According to a recent licensing board hearing, the 1,720-square-foot restaurant will occupy the first floor of a mixed-use building. The layout includes a main dining area with tables and seating for around 180 guests, plus a bar that can seat about 11 more. Notably, the eatery plans to stay open until 2 a.m., offering a rare late-night option for Roxbury, where most spots typically close by 10 or 11 p.m.
The Weston Way was also recently granted an all alcohol license, which is part of a fresh wave of 21 Boston businesses that just scored location-specific liquor licenses.
What Now Boston will update this page as more details come to light, so keep checking back.
