A new après-ski hotspot is arriving just steps from the Breckenridge gondola this summer, liquor licensing records show. The Shifty Lifty, a bar and cocktail concept located at 301 N. Main St., is preparing to welcome patrons to its new mountainside venue.

It will feature a full bar, specialty cocktails, and ice shots. The liquor license was approved last month. Job postings online show it’s currently hiring bartenders and servers to join its opening team, and full-time and part-time positions are available.

Owner Chad Washenfelder is no stranger to the Breckenridge hospitality scene. Originally from Texas, he moved to the area in 2015 and launched a successful portfolio of local businesses. He opened Pho Real in 2016, followed by Breckenridge Tap House in 2019, and the historic-themed Prospector in 2024, Summit Daily News writes.

“We are excited to bring another new concept to Breckenridge. Gondola to barstool in 60 seconds or less,” Washenfelder told What Now Denver.
