A full-service Indian restaurant will soon open in Boston’s Fenway-Kenmore neighborhood.

Namastay Boston is slated to debut next month at 636 Beacon St in Kenmore Square, taking over the basement-level space recently vacated by Baanga Korean Cuisine. The new restaurant comes from an anonymous ownership group that’s already behind several popular spots throughout the city.

While the team is still putting final touches on the menu, one partner told What Now Boston that they plan to serve a variety of authentic Indian dishes. “We’re working on it, but it’s going to be a typical, authentic Indian restaurant,” he said.

Boston Restaurant Talk also reports that diners can expect “bold, elegant” cuisine from various regions of India, with dishes ranging from “rich curries to vibrant street snacks.”

Namastay Boston will seat around 40 guests in an intimate, alcohol-free setting. The partner said they may eventually add breakfast, noting, “We’re targeting an operational time from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., but that could change depending on foot traffic.”

Though still in the “early stages” of licensing, the team hopes to welcome guests in mid-August 2025.
