A casual Cambridge noodle spot is getting ready to twirl into Boston’s Seaport District.

Lanner Noodles is opening its second shop at 53 Pier 4 Blvd, according to the eatery’s website. Marissa Chen, who co-owns the restaurant with her cousin Sean Xiao, confirmed the news with What Now Boston. “We’re thrilled to be expanding to the Seaport,” she said.

The original Lanner Noodles debuted in Cambridge’s Central Square in early 2024, quickly earning fans with its housemade noodles and rich, comforting broths. The chefs pull each noodle by hand, alchemizing dough into chewy strands that soak up the eatery’s lineup of savory soups, including the popular Lanzhou-style beef noodle soup—a classic from northwestern China.

The menu also features an array of “small bites” and “big plates,” ranging from cucumber salad, marinated wood ear mushrooms, and lamb skewers to golden tofu and sautéed cauliflower with pork. A few sweet treats, like sticky rice pudding and brown sugar rice cakes, round things out.

Look for the same slurpable noodles and light bites at the Seaport spot, along with a handful of exclusive new dishes and drinks. “We’ll be sharing more details on those soon!” Chen teased.

The Lanner Noodles team is targeting a fall 2025 opening. Until then, follow @lanner.noodlesbar on Instagram for updates.
