Anyone who has been in the area knows about ZDT’s amusement park. It’s a spot where generations of local families made lasting memories. Unfortunately, it is now time to say goodbye to this iconic spot.

An announcement stating the impending closure of the park was shared on July 14, 2025. The announcement thanked guests for their support and shared memories over the years. With its final day approaching, the park is encouraging fans to stop by for one last ride.

“We are so honored to have provided smiles, thrills, and happy memories for 18+ years!” writes the post. “After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close our park. Our last operating day will be August 17, 2025. We sincerely appreciate all your support over the years. It has been really fun and heart-warming being a part of your story!”

Like many family entertainment venues, ZDT’s faced pandemic-related setbacks and ongoing declines in attendance. As attendance rates continue to fall in many amusement parks, survival is not easy. Smaller parks like ZDT’s have struggled to adapt to shifting consumer habits. This has resulted in the closure or impending closure of many amusement parks.

As its closing date nears, ZDT’s is aiming to give guests a final memorable experience. After 18 years of being the place for roller coasters, it invites everyone to a last ride. The post asks everyone to enjoy the last ride before the park closes its gates forever.

Apart from this, the message on its website suggests that everyone use up their gift cards. Guests holding gift cards or “any day” tickets are encouraged to redeem them before the park shuts down. For those holding a membership, an email on how this closure will be handled has been sent.

“If you’ve been holding on to ZDT’s gift cards or ‘any day’ tickets, please plan to redeem them before that date,” reads the message on the website. “Current members: Keep an eye on your inbox—we sent an email explaining how memberships will be handled going forward.”

With the final day set for August 17, locals have a few more weeks to revisit the park before it closes permanently.
