Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant appears to be eyeing a new North Carolina spot as it charts expansion plans in the state. It is looking to take an 11,100-square-foot space at Parkside Town Commons in Cary, according to reporting by the Triangle Business Journal.
This is not the first time Cooper’s Hawk has shown activity in North Carolina this year. It already has plans to join the Friendly Center in Greensboro. That spot is still listed as “coming soon” on the Cooper’s Hawk website.
CEO Tim McEnery launched Cooper’s Hawk in 2005, bringing an upscale casual concept focused on quality food and wine to the market. The brand is “built upon the passionate belief that food and wine hold the power to forge lasting connections,” according to the website.
The wine experience is inspired by Napa, and the restaurant features a global list of carefully curated wines. The food menu offers items like pasta, burgers, sandwiches and protein-based entrees like filet mignon, chicken picotta and red wine braised short ribs.
“Cooper’s Hawk has created a modern, casual dining experience with warm hospitality in an inviting upscale setting,” the website states. “Our culinary team has designed a contemporary American menu infused with flavors from around the world. Each dish is made fresh in our scratch kitchen, incorporating peak-of-season ingredients, and listed with a bin number to guide you to your selection’s perfect wine match.”
Cooper’s Hawk, based in Illinois, has more than 70 locations open, with more on the way as the brand expands.
As of now, an opening timeline for the Cary location remains unclear. However, it appears the spot is in the early stages of development.
