Van Leeuwen Ice Cream has another shop on the way to New York City, according to its website. The new location is slated to open at 151 Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights.
This will be the 38th location to open for the brand in its home state. Van Leeuwen recently opened locations at Penn Station and Downtown Brooklyn.
Ben and Pete Van Leeuwen and Laura O’Neill launched the brand in a yellow ice cream truck in New York City in 2008. The brand focuses on simple ingredients and offers a variety of unique flavors such as dulce de leche brownie, peanut butter brownie honeycomb, buttermilk berry cornbread and lemon poppyseed muffin.
The brand also has locations in California, New Jersey, Texas, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Washington, D.C. It is expanding in multiple markets across the country.
Right now, an exact timeline for the forthcoming Brooklyn Heights location remains unknown. It is listed as “coming soon” on the website.
