In early July, Lin’s International Buffet confirmed its closure next month. The restaurant chain announced the closure on its Facebook page, sharing the update with its followers. “LIN’S at 1604 is CLOSING August 4, 2025. Please visit our newest location with more variety than ever!” read the post.

Lin’s confirmed that its newest location at 615 SW Loop 410 will continue operating as usual. The post also included a video highlighting the 410 location’s expanded offerings. The chain did not specify a reason for closure in the announcement.

The announcement drew mixed reactions on social media, with some locals expressing nostalgia and others wishing the team well.

In September last year, the business announced the opening of the 410 location via Instagram. Local District 6 Councilwoman Melissa Cabello Havrda attended the grand opening ceremony.

The restaurant also encouraged followers to stay tuned on Instagram for future promotions and updates.

While it offers a similar buffet setup, the 410 location has been rebranded under a different name than the chain’s other outlets. While the chain did not provide any specifics, it hinted in the closure post that guests can expect an expanded menu at the new location.

Lin’s already operates two other locations in Texas, one in Selma and another in Brownsville. The chain has built a loyal following with its pan-Asian selections, ranging from pho to sushi and barbecue.

Menu highlights include Chinese stir-fry, pho, sushi, barbecue, seafood, salads, and more.
