According to a recently submitted permit application, a new sushi spot is gearing up to open in Berkeley.
Coming to 2700 Taylor Street, Tamago Sushi will be neighbored by establishments such as the fusion breakfast and lunch spot Darren’s Cafe, the brunch eatery Hollywood Cafe, and the seafood restaurant Fisherman’s Wharf Chowder and Crab Sidewalk Stands.
What Now San Francisco spoke briefly with the concept’s owner, Haibai Kuang; however, he could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, drawing from the concept’s name, tamago sushi — sushi rice topped with a cooked egg with a strip of nori seaweed wrapped around it — will be on the menu. Assumedly, popular Japanese plates such as ramen, tempura, yakitori, and a variety of other sushi options will also be offered.
An opening date has not been announced yet. Follow What Now San Francisco on Facebook for updates.
