Two patios with TVs, an outdoor bar, and heated awnings seat 70 guests, while the indoor dining area accommodates 40. The restaurant’s design exudes a warm, welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of traditional Sicilian family gatherings.
Citing family health challenges, the owners made the difficult decision to close the restaurant on August 30.
The owners said family has always been at the heart of their restaurant, and closing is a continuation of that commitment.
A Heartfelt Farewell from Isola Osteria
With full hearts and deep gratitude, Angelo Dalo and the Isola Osteria team shared the difficult news on social media that their beloved Danville restaurant will close on Saturday, August 30, marking its final day of service.
“This has not been an easy decision. For the last year and a half, this little place has been more than a restaurant—it’s been an extension of our home, our culture, and our family. Many of you have become more than guests; you’ve become part of our story,” the post read.
Citing ongoing family health issues, the owners shared that family has always been at the heart of everything they do, and stepping away is an extension of that same spirit they’ve poured into the restaurant from day one.
The restaurant also urged its followers to visit it at its sister location, Agrodolce Osteria in Berkeley, which offers authentic flavors.
“Thank you for all your support! While we are refocusing our priorities out of Danville, we’d love to see you at our sister location in Berkeley. Come visit us at Agrodolce Osteria – same great authentic flavors and commitment to excellence in every dish,” the post concluded.
Though Isola Osteria is closing, it will be remembered as a cherished part of the Danville dining scene.
