WNBA Moves to New West Midtown HQ at Brickworks
The Atlanta Dream, established in 2008, is the only WNBA franchise in the Southeast and has a fanbase that spans across 31 states.
“The Atlanta Dream’s move to Brickworks in West Midtown marks an exciting new chapter for our franchise,” said Atlanta Dream President Morgan Shaw Parker.
“Expanding our footprint reflects the momentum around the WNBA and the bold future we’re building in Atlanta. West Midtown is one of the city’s most vibrant and forward-thinking neighborhoods, a perfect match for a team inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s enduring call to dream bigger, push forward, and elevate the community around us,” she said.
The organization has also been contributing to the Atlanta community through initiatives like Power Her Dreams Clinics, Emerging Dreamers Program, and Dreamsgiving. The team plays its home games at Gateway Center Arena in College Park. The Dream has sold out the arena for the past two seasons.
“We are huge fans of the Dream, not only for their performance on the court but also the strategic vision they are carefully executing that touches everything from player recruitment to community engagement. The franchise is a great fit for West Midtown,” said Matt Saylor, Director of Asset Management at Asana Partners.
Expansion to Brickworks Enhances Team Operations
The new Atlanta Dream headquarters will be double the size of its previous space. It will give the team room to grow its business operations and create a central hub for community outreach and engagement efforts across Atlanta.
The Atlanta Dream will also join other businesses at Brickworks like Cherry Street Energy, Food Terminal, Krispy Krunchy Chicken, and Emmy Squared Pizza.
“We’re thrilled to call West Midtown home and look forward to using our new space to connect with fans, support local partners, and bring the community even closer to the Dream,” added Shaw Parker.
The move emphasizes the team’s growth and deepening commitment to community engagement in Atlanta.
