According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, a new concept listed as Hamburguesa Bar is preparing to debut near San Francisco’s Financial District.
Coming to 78 2nd Street, the eatery will land near establishments such as the seafood joint Luke’s Lobster, the North Indian food restaurant Mehfil Indian Cuisine, and the dim sum spot Village Tea House.
What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s owner, Eric Passetti, to learn more about his plans for the upcoming restaurant; however, he could not provide additional information before publication.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the restaurateur, Passetti is the owner of Café Terminus — a cafe-bar that offers breakfast pastries, sandwiches, and salads alongside beer, wine, and cocktails — located at the end of the California Street Cable Car Line, next to the Embarcadero Center, Hyatt Regency Hotel, and the Ferry Building.
He’s one of the names behind Natoma Cabana, Pie Punk, the now-shuttered concept Trocadero Club, and Zhuzh Bar, to name just a few. Passetti was also previously the manager at House of Shields, a historic San Francisco landmark and, having opened in 1908, one of the city’s oldest bars
