Sacramento will soon be home to a second Topgolf location.
The Sacramento Planning and Design Commission has unanimously approved plans for a 58,000-square-foot, two-story golf-themed entertainment complex in South Natomas. The family-friendly venue will be located near Interstate 5 and West El Camino Avenue, just off Venture Oaks Way.
According to ABC10, Topgolf Natomas will feature 80 hitting bays, a full-service restaurant, a bar, event spaces, and 324 parking stalls across nearly 15 acres. As part of the project, 59 trees will be removed, but 226 new trees will be planted.
Topgolf representative Ryan Hooper said the Natomas location will be smaller than the Roseville venue but is expected to create around 300 jobs and generate $150 to $250 million for the local economy.
Some residents have raised concerns about noise and light pollution, prompting Topgolf to adjust aspects of the design. Commission member Julio Lamas noted that the project’s conditions and design elements provide “pretty good safeguards” for the surrounding community.
With more than 100 locations worldwide, Topgolf offers a mix of sports and socializing. Guests can enjoy casual fare like pizza, chicken sandwiches, and donut ‘hole-in-ones,’ alongside beer, wine, and craft cocktails, all while swinging away on the driving range.
Although construction dates and a full timeline are still pending, Sacramento golfers can look forward to a new spot for food, drinks, and fun. For those eager to tee off sooner, another Topgolf is just 20 miles away in Roseville.
