Mommy Pai’s

The Thai chicken spot debuted in New York’s Nolita neighborhood in early August. Mommy Pai’s is from chef-partners Ann Redding and Matt Danzer of Thai Diner, following their earlier ventures, including Uncle Boons. The operating hours of the restaurant are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Signature dishes include Purple Sticky Rice and Lettuce Wraps, Coconut Rice & Beans in Banana Leaf, and Waffle Fries, paired with tropical drinks like Mango Coconut and Spicy Tamarind Orange.
The takeout counter offers a tribute to Ampai, Redding’s mother. Further, Thai-inspired wooden decor, hand-carved silver cloud sculptures, and others complement Mommy Pai’s cuisine.
Buttermilk’s Farmhouse

Following its success in Patchogue, the much-loved breakfast and lunch joint opened its second Long Island location in Bay Shore this August. Buttermilk’s Farmhouse’s latest launch in Bay Shore was marked with a grand opening celebration last Friday. Currently, patrons can visit for sandwiches, wraps, and more from 7:30 a.m.
Along with its breakfast options featuring French toast, pancakes, and others, Buttermilk’s Farmhouse brings offerings for kids. Named the ‘Calves Menu,’ the items include a pancake served with bacon, with an option to add blueberries, strawberries, or chocolate chips.
Narkara

Narkara made its way to Union Square through a soft opening last Friday. The Thai cuisine establishment will have its grand opening on September 2, 2025. In the meantime, guests can try dishes inspired by Northern and Northeastern Thailand. Diners can eat at Narkara Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.
The latest Thai establishment brings delicacies, such as Gaeng Kradang, Kanom Krok Pu, Soup Nor Mai, and Samrub Sai Ua. Narkara’s beverage collection includes Makwaen Penicillin with makwaen pepper–infused scotch, Drambuie, the Rice Paddy Herb Martini, and mezcal.
Led by Verasak Sangsiri, the restaurant incorporates Thai-inspired design, including bamboo installations by artist Korakot Aromdee and woven partitions by Patapian.
