Pure Soul Plant-Based Eats is making a big move.
On Sunday, September 7, the local vegan restaurant closed its ghost kitchen inside East Sacramento’s The Garden at the Line to launch a brick-and-mortar restaurant at 5780 Broadway in Sacramento’s Tahoe Park neighborhood, reports the Sacramento Business Journal.
The space was previously home to MoMo’s Meat Market, which shuttered in February after 14 years in business as a result of the owner’s declining health.
While founder Jamie Cavanaugh confirmed the move with What Now Sacramento, she noted that she’s still “in the process of finalizing some details” and isn’t quite ready to share specifics.
“We’re turning the page to a new chapter and bringing the ideas we’ve been working on behind the scenes to y’all SOON! 🤗” Cavanaugh wrote in a social media update announcing the news. “We’re so grateful for y’all and can’t wait to share what’s next! 🫶 Stay tuned for updates! ✨”
Pure Soul first launched as a pop-up in 2018, later moving into an East Sacramento storefront during the pandemic, where it focused mainly on takeout. In early 2023, the business joined The Line, serving up plant-based versions of classic comfort foods like burritos, burgers, and macaroni and cheese.
Cavanaugh said she’ll share a projected opening timeline as soon as some maintenance details are ironed out. In the meantime, fans can stay in the loop by following @puresoulpbeats on social media.
