Embassy Suites by Hilton Montreal, a 210-room all-suite hotel across from Palais des congrès de Montréal at 208 Saint Antoine Ouest in the city’s downtown core, is undergoing a $20 million renovation that includes upgrades to its on-site restaurant.

The renovation began in May 2025 and is expected to wrap up by July 2026, according to Tourisme Montreal. Updates include work on the hotel’s lobby, common areas, and restaurant, which currently serves casual fare in a contemporary setting with seasonal outdoor seating. While an exact reopening date for the dining area has not been confirmed, hotel guests can continue to access food and beverage service during the renovation.

Embassy Suites Montreal is within walking distance of Old Montreal, Chinatown, Notre-Dame Basilica, the Old Port, and major cultural attractions and business centers. The hotel also offers amenities such as complimentary made-to-order breakfast, evening receptions, and a fitness center, making it a preferred option for both business travelers and tourists.

The property is part of Hilton’s broader growth strategy in Montreal. In June 2025, Hilton opened Hôtel Railwayparc Montréal, a Tapestry Collection hotel located in the NDG neighbourhood. That property includes 73 rooms, a lobby restaurant called Quai 6645, and a hidden speakeasy. It reflects Hilton’s growing investment in the city’s hospitality market.

Embassy Suites Montreal’s restaurant is located on the main floor and offers both indoor and outdoor seating, depending on the season. Guests can expect a casual menu with full bar service in a space designed to accommodate both travelers and walk-in diners.

According to the hotel’s website, the restaurant renovation is part of an effort to modernize the property and enhance the overall guest experience as tourism and business travel continue to rebound in downtown Montreal.
