While Philly’s most well known contribution to the culinary world may be the cheesesteak, the City of Brotherly Love is also the birthplace of a rapidly growing fast-casual chain. Honeygrow has been winning over diners with its healthier stir-fries since 2012, and now the concept is preparing to bring even more of its fare to Montgomery County. The eatery is signed on to open a second regional storefront in Silver Spring, reports local media outlet The MoCo Show.

Honeygrow will be moving into the 10721 Columbia Pike storefront left vacant when California Tortilla shuttered in August of this year. The space will afford Honeygrow 2,413 square feet in which to serve guests. There is no definitive word yet on when the restaurant will open its new home in the Shoppes of Burnt Mills shopping center, however construction is slated to start by late fall, suggesting that residents will need to wait until next year to enjoy the chain’s cuisine.

Silver Spring diners can look forward to made-to-order salads and stir-fries. While there are house recipes customers can choose from, many are particularly drawn to the customizable options, where visitors select a base, protein, veggies, garnish, and sauce.

Montgomery County residents who simply cannot wait to sample the concept’s dishes can stop into Honeygrow’s other local storefront at 12035 Rockville Pike to tide them over until the Silver Spring location opens.
