Barnyard Chicken, a local favorite in Park Circle, has announced it will close permanently this weekend. In a social media post, the restaurant said it will serve its final dinner this Saturday and invited the community to stop by one last time.

With over 25 years of culinary experience, Chef Eric Hara opened Barnyard Chicken in 2024 on Spruill Ave in the heart of Park Circle, North Charleston, SC. The restaurant is known for its thrilling concept chicken dishes, including Chef Hara’s signature dish, the brick chicken, also known as chicken under a brick.
The restaurant announced its sudden closure on Instagram and invited the community to visit before it closes permanently this Saturday, November 1.
Barnyard Chicken’s official Instagram post said, “With heavy hearts, we’ve made the difficult decision to close Barnyard Chicken.”
In the post, the restaurant shared appreciation for the community and wrote, “We’ve truly loved being part of this community—serving you, sharing laughs, and creating memories together. Our last day open will be this Saturday, and we would love to see you all one (or two or three) more times before we close our doors. Thank you for all the support, love, and chicken-filled moments.”
