Slime Kitchen, the premier slime-making experience sweeping the nation, is expanding once again in San Diego with a brand new location at Otay Ranch Town Center. This is the San Francisco-headquartered company’s eighth California store. The opening builds on Slime Kitchen’s success in bringing hands-on creativity to life, giving kids (and kids at heart) the chance to be a chef, chemist, and creator all at once. Each visit takes guests on an immersive journey as they select a base, blend scents, add color, and layer textures to create custom slimes as unique as their imaginations.

Otay Ranch Town Center sits in East Chula Vista, one of San Diego County’s most family-oriented communities. Nearly half of the city’s households include children under 18 — notably higher than the county average of 34%, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The open-air center serves as the area’s main shopping and social hub, surrounded by local traditions like weekly farmers markets and the annual Chula Vista Starlight Parade & Festival, where tens of thousands of families fill the streets each December to enjoy decorated floats and live music. Slime Kitchen’s opening arrives just in time to join in on the festive spirit, providing families a unique space to spend time together and make lasting memories.
“While we were setting up the store, I couldn’t believe how lively Otay Ranch was. The energy here is just amazing, and I can’t wait for our new location to be part of it,” said Ando.
To celebrate the opening, Slime Kitchen Chula Vista will host a Grand Opening on Saturday, November 22nd at 11 a.m. Slime Kitchen invites the local community and those beyond to join in on the fun and experience the magic of slime-making firsthand. Plus, the first 50 attendees will receive a special slimy surprise!
The new Chula Vista store marks Slime Kitchen’s eighth California location, joining existing stores in Los Angeles, San Jose, Pleasanton, and more.
