After more than a decade in Brooklyn’s dining scene, beloved restaurant Hildur has announced it will close this weekend. The team shared the news on Instagram, thanking their staff and the Brooklyn community for years of support.
Brooklyn’s Hildur Bids Goodbye This Weekend
Located at 5 Front St in Brooklyn, Hildur served a creative menu blending Scandinavian flavors with French bistro influences. The restaurant became known for its focus on fermentation and a curated list of natural wines that gave the menu a distinctly Nordic touch.
The restaurant announced the closure on Instagram, writing, “After 14 amazing years in this space, we will close our doors on November 16th. We are so sad to leave after such an epic run, but our hearts are full of gratitude as we reflect on this incredible journey. Huge thanks to our amazing team for making this space so special and to our community, who have shown up year after year. We hope you can visit us for a few last hurrahs as we close this chapter.”

The minimalist space showcases the building’s 200-year-old charm, while its backyard garden, set beneath the Brooklyn Bridge, has long been a favorite summer hangout.
