Daliono’s of Marysville is bidding goodbye to the community after 17 wonderful years of service. The pizzeria will close its doors permanently on December 14. The restaurant cited ongoing family health issues and the lasting financial impact of the pandemic as the reasons behind the decision.
Dalionos Ends 17-Year Run This December
Daliono’s, a neighborhood favorite and a family-owned restaurant, has served the community for years. The restaurant is popularly known for its classic garlic knots, deluxe-style burgers, pasta, Mexican options, sandwiches, and more.
The restaurant announced on Facebook that “Dalionos is permanently closing on December 14, 2025.”
Daliono’s started its journey back in 2008 and ran successfully for almost 17 years. In the post, the restaurant team shared great appreciation and gratitude for the community for its support.
The restaurant team said, “We are so grateful for our loyal customers, our employees, and the entire community that has shown us support and kindness for nearly two decades.”
The announcement surprised many loyal customers, who flocked to the announcement post to share cherished memories.
One of the customers wrote, “Thank you for all you’ve done for our family with rehearsal dinners, weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, and First Holy Communion lunches. We will miss your smiling faces and generous treats for the kids. Merry Christmas to all.”
The restaurant team concluded the post by noting that the relationships built over the years and the memories created will stay with them forever.
Pandemic Losses and Health Issues Force the Closure
The owners explained that the decision to close stemmed from the long-term financial impact of the pandemic, which they ultimately could not overcome. They also cited ongoing family health challenges as a big factor behind their decision.

“Unfortunately, we have not been able to recover from the long-term impacts of the pandemic. In addition, ongoing and serious health challenges with the mother (having cancer) and daughter (having an incurable autoimmune disease) made it impossible for us to continue operating in the way we believe you deserve,” the team said.
The restaurant shared a heartfelt message in the closure announcement and invited locals to stop by and celebrate its decades-old legacy before it closes its doors for the final time.
