Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar could be the next high-end dining establishment to come to Riverside, if plans that What Now OC found proceed. Records show the eatery chain is seeking construction bids for a property at 3777 Mission Inn Avenue.

Bloomin’ Brands, the parent company of Fleming’s, declined to provide any project info. Director of Corporate Communications Elizabeth Daly said they are “obviously interested in the area, but I do not have details to share at this time.”

Part of Bloomin’ Brands’ portfolio of upscale and casual dining concepts, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar has been around for nearly 30 years, MatrixBCG reports. Fleming’s joined the conglomeration in 2001, pairing with sister restaurants Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, and Bonefish Grill.

Pre-construction documents tied to the project show the company’s interest in converting an empty shell space within a multi-tenant building into an 8,751-square-foot Fleming’s restaurant with a patio. Interior improvements will include new partitions, ceilings, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and finishes, along with new power, lighting, mechanical, and plumbing systems.

The building is located within a designated historic district, requiring special approvals for exterior modifications. Those include new signage and altering three existing planting beds to widen the public sidewalk to allow for outdoor dining.
