Marble Slab Creamery, the small-batch ice cream parlor chain from FAT Brands, is a place where “imagination has no limits.” If you’re imagining such a place might the one for you, there’s a brand-new Marble Slap opening imminently in Round Rock, at 200 University Blvd, Suite 630. Franchisee Barkatali Maknojiya told What Now on Friday that it may open as soon this weekend.
And that’s not all franchisee has been up to. As What Now Houston reported in Spring 2024, Maknojiya has expanded his portfolio of franchise concepts to include another brand from the FAT Brands family: Great American Cookies.
All this comes together in paperwork submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing Regulation this week. It shows a project called “Marble Slab Creamery & Great American Cookies” opening in the Manor Crossing Shops, at 11910 E US 290 Hwy WB, Suite 140, in Manor. This would appear to be a dual-branded location bringing together ice cream and cookies—a combination that absolute cannot go wrong.
Maknojiya was not immediately available to discuss the Manor location except to say that it’s working towards a spring opening. Indeed, the submitted paperwork estimates completion of construction in the 1,501-square-foot space on March 15. It’s set to start on January 15.
A combined Marble Slab-Great American Cookies location would bring together popular ice cream flavors like S’Mores, Coffee Crunch, and Birthday Bash with gourmet cookies, cookie cakes, and Double Doozies: Great American Cookies’ confection sandwiching icing between your choice of cookies. Again, this cannot go wrong. We’re looking forward to seeing Marble Slab Creamery and Great American Cookies come together!
