Tiki Docks, the tropical lifestyle cafe, is coming to Winter Garden — with a twist.
Hamlin Town Center, located at 14422 Shoreside Way, lists the restaurant as “coming soon”. The center, located in the planned community of Horizon West, offers a place for residents to eat, shop, and relax — all minutes from Walt Disney World and Downtown Winter Garden.
Tiki Docks is a casual, outdoor restaurant by 23 Restaurant Services with three locations. When the Horizon West location opens, it will offer a unique speakeasy inside. At the time, an opening date has not been announced.
According to Horizon West Magazine, Tiki Docks’ speakeasy will pay tribute to Don the Beachcomber. The bar, which opened in Hollywood in 1933 by Donn Beach, is considered by many to be the original tiki bar and the start of America’s long fascination with tiki culture.
Tiki Docks continues the tradition of the tiki bar, offering beach-themed food in a colorful setting. The restaurant’s specialty is the Florida fried basket: a basket of fried grouper nuggets, shrimp, or scallops served with Dock fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce, and Cajun remoulade. Tiki Docks also offers tacos, fresh seafood, salads, and more. There are also specialty drinks including the Key Lime Colada, the Gulf Sunset, and the Beach Bum beer.
