Coming in 2026 (more specifically, in November, according to Community Impact), Tap In Buda may soon be the Sunfield area’s favorite hangout. Comprising 7,000 square feet of space, Tap In will feature indoor mini golf, indoor golf simulators, a sports bar serving foods like pizza and wings, a food truck, and a patio with live music. It’s a concept that has, in other words, everything, and it’s opening at 2260 Main St., Bldg 7, as part of the Corner on Main development.

“The idea here was to bring something great to the Buda area,” founder Robert Wible told What Now on Friday. “I’m a local. It’s a great area with great people, and the thing is, we don’t have very much entertainment. You usually have to drive up into Austin. But a few years ago, I started to fundraise for something. I saw places that were combining mini golf with sports bars, and I saw these great virtual golf simulators.”

All this led to the idea for Tap In: a place, Wible says, “that will appeal to families, both kids and adults, that will bring something fun to the area that can operate 365 days a year, in terms of weather.”

Divided into separate spaces for mini golf and for its sports bar area, with an outdoor portion featuring both a green space for children to play and a stage for live music, Tap In Buda will be a great place to go, but, perhaps more importantly, it will be a great place to stick around.

“It’s more than just a minigolf round, it’s a place to hang out,” Wible says.

Designed by CoXist Studio, the firm helmed by Frank and Megan Lin, who have designed, as Wible puts it, “some of the most beautiful homes and some of the coolest, highest-end restaurants in the Austin area,” Tap In has received support from Buda and is striving to make itself one of the area’s favorite gathering places.

“We’re excited to open our doors and serve the people of Sunfield and Buda,” said Wible. “This project has been underway for a long time. If we can be a great community sports bar for the neighborhood, we know we’ll be winners.”
