Kung Fu Chicken, the Miami-born fried chicken restaurant is opening a location in the heart of South Beach.
The restaurant will open at 1502 Washington Avenue, right in one of Miami Beach’s most desirable locations. When the fast casual chicken shop opens some time in March 2026, it will be blocks from the beach and Lincoln Road, and a stone’s throw from the charming Espanola Way.
Kung Fu Chicken is one of Miami’s newest restaurant cravings. The pink-hued restaurant offers Asian fried chicken, known for its extra crispy outside and super juicy inside. The chicken can be enjoyed as fingers or in a sandwich. Guests can customize their dining experience with a choice of sauces and rubs that includes Szechuan Ma La, sweet sriracha, General Tso’s, honey garlic, or the restaurant’s signature Kung Fu sauce – a unique blend of sweet and umami seasonings.
The restaurant was founded by Tingjun Lei and chef Yu Bi. The pair met while attending Florida International University and opened 107 Taste Asian Restaurant together. Since then, the partners have been successfully opening restaurants around Miami including Cajun Boil and now Kung Fu Chicken.
The first Kung Fu Chicken opened next to their alma matter, with a second in Little Havana. Now, the partners are setting their sights on South Florida’s tourist mecca of South Beach — with more to come.
